Our firm’s detailed zoning plan has divided the revitalization project of Shikun Weizmann in central Herzliya into 7 distinct phases, each contributing to the creation of a new and modern neighborhood. This comprehensive project will include approximately 1850 housing units surrounding a central park.
Phase 2 of the project is strategically located along Rabbi Kook Boulevard, the main thoroughfare connecting the city to the sea. This phase will feature a series of towers built above a seven-story podium, creating a dynamic commercial façade along this vital urban axis. The commercial front curves inward along Ben Srulik Street, serving as the entrance to the neighborhood. Phase 1, planned for the future, will mirror this design, together forming a grand entrance to the central green spaces and public buildings.
Addressing the design challenge of creating a human scale within a relatively dense environment, the lower four floors of the residential units are framed within the podium, and the base of the towers is lowered into the podium. This creates a continuous façade at a human scale.
The rear of the towers faces the central park, with entrances to the residential towers and parking lots. The high-rise development has enabled efficient use of infrastructure and cost savings, allowing for advanced systems to serve the residents, such as a central pneumatic waste collection system.
Phases 1 and 2 mark the beginning of a neighborhood committed to being at the forefront of urban innovation in all aspects: planning, operation, technology, and design.
